Before leaving Haiti for Nassau, Bahamas in the 60's, Hosmer was a barber. He was doing barber for leaving in Haiti. After living in the Bahamas for several years, Homser made his way to the United States. Hosmer's first residence in the States was in Boston, Massachusetts, and then he made his way to New York. Hosmer stayed in New York until his retirement in 1993; Hosmer decided to move to Miami, Florida.
He was a hard working man. He loved his native country and loved traveling there. He was living a peaceful life. He used to wake up every morning, five days a week, went to downtown Miami, back to his (quartier general) 70th Street in Little Haiti. Smoker par excellence, he never negotiated his cigarettes. He was a lovely and happy men. In 2014,he fall down on the street, his niece brought him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with colon cancer and had his first surgery. The doctors gave him six months to live, but God act’s differently. After recouping from the first surgery, five tears later, Hosmer had another surgery for cancer. On October 9, 2020, Hosmer lost his battle with cancer and went peacefully to the "Gates of Heaven".
