Hardly a week goes by that I don’t think of my big sister Arlene. She was funny and kind-hearted. My memories of Arlene are filled with the wonder big sister that she was. Because of our age difference and distance in mikes between us, we didn’t see much of each other. But when we did it was always sweet. She was a “momma” to me when I was little. She protected me from bullies on the school bus and took me shopping for school clothes every year. She was beautiful and turned heads. When I was pregnant with my first baby, she made breakfast for me a few times making sure I was healthy. I miss her. I miss her voice. I miss her shy smile. I miss her funny sayings. I just miss her❤️🙏🏻

Arlene was a very special aunt.we called each other everyday after my sister Ronda died in 2012. She was the funniest person I've known .Arlene loved Ronda and told me several times.she said she missed ronda.she had a great family and they took care her very well. Ronda and Arlene can be together now and I will miss her . I love you Arlene. Rest in peace

Ms. Arlene was a wonderful woman.  Her daughter Pam & I were best friends growing up,  we only lived a few houses away during our whole childhood.  I was over there everyday,  she was like my second Mom.  She was so nice to me always.  She will be greatly missed.  My thoughts,  love and prayers go out to her entire family!!

I briefly met Arlene Tavormina, but the Bible says you know a tree by it’s fruit. For years I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her son Joey and his family.   Joey is a true friend and a man of integrity. There is no greater testimony of one’s life than the legacy they leave.  This world is a better place because of men like him and I am personally grateful for the sacrifice of women like Arlene that make this world a better place.  

My sweet sister, Arlene, was definitely one of a kind. She touched my heart in ways that I can’t adequately put in words. She was beautiful, caring, funny and always had a way of making you feel special. She called me on a regular basis just to say “Hi, how are you doing?” She was always soft spoken and gentle, never complaining. Growing up, she was my beautiful big sister who always said funny things. Her children were her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, and a huge blessing to me. I will truly miss her tender voice on the other end of the phone. She took a piece of my heart with her, but when I get to heaven and see her and my other family members, God will pull all the pieces of my broken heart back together again, forever. I love you, Arlene!
