Billy was born in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in Bellville, New Jersey. He graduated from Bellville High School in 1966. Over the next two decades he worked in various jobs, including with his father Alphonse “Al” Napoliello in a paint shop.
Billy and his wife Helene met in April 1990 when his sister Marie moved in next door to Helene in Ocean Township, New Jersey. They married in June 1991.
The couple moved to Broward County, Florida in 1993 where he worked first for an alarm company and then as a court deputy for the Broward Sheriff’s Office in the Fort Lauderdale courthouse, retiring in December 2010.
Over his lifetime he loved to travel, visiting various European countries and Costa Rica. His favorite destination was Paris.
He loved the New York Yankees and Giants. His favorite location was the Jersey Shore, especially Wildwood, and he enjoyed the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in his hometown. He is remembered for his loving, kind, and jovial nature as well as his strong dedication to family. He was always there when someone needed him.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helene; his brothers Allen and Michael; his nieces Shannon Radilla and Alison Slick; his nephews Dennis and Alan Napoliello and Benjamin Schnirman; his great nieces and nephews Jennifer, Lauren, Peyton, Trevor, and Camryn Napoliello, Brooke and Gabriella Radilla, and Julianna Slick; and his goddaughters Gigi Safonte and Tasha Lopez.
He was predeceased by his parents Alfonse “Al” and Marie Napoliello, and his sister, Marie Cali.
