David Cohen

David Cohen, 90, of Aventura, Fl passed away peacefully on July 5, 2014. A prominent Philadelphia Trial Attorney for over 60 years, Mr. Cohen was recognized for his many professional and charitable activities.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce nee Rigberg ,

father to Jay, Stephen(Ruth), Neal(Florence),

stepfather to Dr . David (Donna) Gorson, Dr Kenneth(Ann) Gorson, and

brother to Max (Claire) Cohen.

Grandchildren, Michael Cohen,Rebecca (Brian) Isen,Sarah(Alan) Nemetz, William Cohen, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Stephen & Katie Gorson. Greatgrandchildren Raden & Ainsley Nemetz

Predeceased by late wife Mimi(Moskowitz) Cohen

Following his discharge from the Naval service during WII Mr. Cohen began his career working in his family’s chicken business in the later 1940’s and graduating from Temple Law School in 1952. During a distinguished career including an active law practice and numerous business accomplishments , David always found time to spend with his family, to generously contribute to charities , and to work with his longtime synagogue, Temple Adath Israel of Merion, Pa, where he was known for his deep baritone singing voice. David is currently a member of Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center. His Friday lunch bunch dates with his Aventura friends was dear to his heart. David made a mark in this world for so many people.

Chapel services will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 12:00 noon

at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels, 20955 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura Fl 33180
