Mr. Michael E. "Mike" Nichols

Michael Edward “Mike” Nichols, 85, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was born April 2, 1938 in Elmo, Texas to the late, Leonard Shepard and Alta Maxine Wilson Nichols.

Mike graduated from Terrell High School in Terrell, Texas in 1956 and attended East Texas State University. He joined Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation in 1967 as a retail salesman in Dallas, Texas. Outstanding service earned him the promotion to manager of multiple sales divisions. He was the owner and operator of Nichols Properties for over 20 years. He was a veteran having served as a Medic in the United States Army. He was a member of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club, Arkansas Striper Association where he served a term as president and a member of the Arkansas Corvette Club.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Lamm Nichols; son, Richard Nichols; daughter, Susan Nichols Rice and husband, Dustin; granddaughters, Morgan, Madison, Avery, Aubrey and Arden.

A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
