She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Arkansas and was a homemaker her married life. She loved working on arts and crafts from sewing to pottery and woodworking with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, yardwork, cooking, and working crossword puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She attended as many football games, band concerts, sporting events and dance recitals as possible.
Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years Arles; brother Fay Hilburn and sister Jewel Tatum both of Malvern.
She is survived by daughter Gina Summers and husband Bill of Jacksonville, son Bruce Lucas and wife Tammy of Cabot. Grandson Ryan Summers, wife Jacinda and great granddaughter Meghan of Sherwood. Grandson Brandon Summers, wife Shannon and great granddaughter Madelyn of Jacksonville.
Visitation begins at 11am Saturday January 20th followed by Services at noon and burial at 1pm at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home and Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
