Martha Sereal, 70, a native of Jeanerette, Louisiana passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was a faithful member of New Zion Temple Ministries where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was the finance secretary for many years. Sis. Sereal was a Godly woman and loved attending church and worshipping the Lord. She enjoyed studying the Bible, sewing, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Malveaux, and Beatrice Phillip; and daughter, Beatrice Sereal. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Ephriam Sereal; son, Quentin Sereal (Addie); three granddaughters, Sherria Sereal, (whom she raised as her own), KaShema Sereal, and Jordan Sereal; one grandson Jalen Sereal; four great grandchildren, Braylon, Marcus, Summer and Tre; and her brother, Elton Volter (Katie) of Houston TX. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, February 3, 2017 at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Celebration will be 11:00am at New Zion Temple Ministries, on February 4, 2017 Pastor Joseph Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
