Larry Glynn Nesbit

He is preceded in death by parents, Cecil Coker Nesbit and Mary Frances Nesbit; older sister, Cassandra Whatley Banks; niece, Leann Whatley Ashley; sister-in-law, Nancy Faye Nesbit; and parents-in-law, Julius and Betty Ketcher. He is survived by wife, Gina Lynn Nesbit (Ketcher); son Corey Austin; daughter, Sara Rene and son-in-law, Michael Libby; siblings, Cecilia Eudy (Dan) of Tyler, TX, Richard Nesbit (Mia) of El Dorado, AR, and twin, Garry Nesbit (Barbara) of Mississippi; sister-in-law, Vivian Allen and brothers-in-law, Mike Ketcher, Robert Ketcher and Greg Ketcher (Pam) of Central AR.

Larry attended El Dorado High School until 1973, when he enrolled at University of Central Arkansas before finishing his degree in Business Administration at University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1983. Meeting his wife Gina at UCA, the two happily married on August 4th, 1978. Both shared a love for camping, fishing, and traveling. Upon obtaining his degree, he dedicated years of loyalty to Fairfield Communities (17 years), Perfect 10 (2 years), and Ally (formerly Nuvell) Financial (16 years). Larry and Gina were blessed with two children, Corey (born in 1988) and Sara (born in 1993). Larry was actively involved with their childhoods whether it was sports, scouts, and volunteering for multiple organizations.

Larry retired in August of 2018 to enjoy life and assist with the care of mother-in-law, Betty Ketcher. During retirement came the diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in 2021. Larry and Gina continued to travel, enjoying their time together. Larry lived each moment intentionally through adversities of life.

A memorial celebration will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception.
