Janet E Kelley

Janet Eloise Short- Holter-Kelley, 89, of Little Rock, AR passed away December 22, 2024 in Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Kelly was born September 11, 1934 in Little Rock, AR to Thomas L. Short SR and Pauline H. Brown Short. She graduated from Little Rock Central in 1952. She was a lifelong member of The First Lutheran Church, as was her mother. Her grandmother came from Germany in her teens with her parents and they were charter members of the First Lutheran Church. Janet joined the Junior Choir in her early teens and then the Senior Choir in her late teens and loved singing. She was also on the Hymn Selection Committee. Janet was employed by Dr. Harlan C. Holmes for 37 years, Shoe Connection for 17 years, and lastly J. Pruitt Shoes. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas L. Short Jr.; grandson, Thomas F. Holter granddaughter, Amanda Holter Castillo; and daughter-in-law. Frankie Holter.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Donna) Holter, David Holter; granddaughter, April Holter (Jeff) Parker; great granddaughter, Eloise Castillo; great grandsons, James Castillo, Axton, Retloh, and Syler Parker; sweet niece, Rita Short Newman and family; grandson-in-law, Richard Castillo; loving sister-in-law, Marietta Short Gutierrez.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday January 20, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church, 8th and Rock, Little Rock, AR.
