Frances Evangiline Jones was born on the banks of the Appomattax River, March 21, 1929, in Petersburg, Virginia. She was the daughter of Willard Foster Jones and Olivia May Roane, both of Virginia. She attended grade school at King George elementary and graduated from Saint Michaels High school in Ridge, Md. Frances married Robert Irwin Berry of Mayflower, Arkansas on November 17th, 1949. Robert and Frances produced six children: Bruce Edward, Willard Eugene, Robert Erwin, Kim Elaine, Holly Elizabeth and Kent Ellis. They had eleven grandchildren and a whole host of great and great-great grandchildren all of whom were very significant to her. Frances took under her wing and nurtured numerous other souls whom she considered to be her adopted children, this includes all of her sons-and-daughters in law. Frances had a loving, caring and nurturing heart.
Frances' faith was very important to her, and she was always anxious to share her testimony of the goodness of Jesus. Frances was appropriately proud of her vibrant church, New Life Pentecostal, in Cabot. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Life Pentecostal Church at 107 Commercial St, Cabot, Arkansas 72023.
The family would like to acknowledge the fine people at Sherwood Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care and also to the palliative care staff of Baptist Hospice, especially to Dr Sauer. The quality of their care and sincerity of their compassion are deeply appreciated.
