Dorothy Margarette Edmonds

Batesville, AR – Dorothy Margarette (Noble) Edmonds, 90, of Batesville, AR, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2021. Dorothy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 22, 1931 to Obe Wesley and Sarah Margaret Noble. She married William Marvin Edmonds on December 19, 1956, and enjoyed a full life as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Obe Wesley and Sarah Margaret Noble, her husband, William Marvin Edmonds, and daughter-in-law, Ileanna Roxas Edmonds.

She is survived by her children William Marvin “Bill” Edmonds, Jr., David W. Edmonds (Ileanna), Rebecca L. “Becky” Ponce (Michael) and Mark Edmonds and her sister-in-law, Sybil Jean Stitt. Dorothy was always proud and boastful of her grandchildren Natasha Leck, Nicole Blakeslee (Michael), Sean Ponce (Jennifer) and Jonathan Edmonds. Her great-grandchildren, Kolton, Jack, Mellony, Natalie, Rylee and Courtney, always brought a huge smile to her face. She loved all of them dearly.

Dorothy was a strong, hard-working and loving person. Due to her father’s career in aviation, Dorothy had a strong passion for flying and obtained her pilot’s license at a very early age. After graduating from Little Rock Central High in 1948, she was employed by Southwestern Bell/AT&T in Little Rock, Arkansas, and retired after 41 years of service. After her retirement, she moved to Batesville, Arkansas where she enjoyed her countless hobbies, including ceramics, cake decorating, gardening, reading, PTA, Boy Scouts – you name it, she tried it. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those that were lucky enough to have known her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, located at 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held the following Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home. Dorothy will then be laid to rest at Rest Hills Memorial Park located at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will include Bill Edmonds, David Edmonds, Michael Ponce, Jonathan Hudson, Sean Ponce, and Jonathan Edmonds.
