Dale Tucker, age 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 30, 2019. Dale was born on May 30, 1930 in Bagwell, Texas to parents Carl Tucker and Lillian Estes Tucker. Dale joined the United States Air Force in March of 1952, serving his country for four years. He graduated from Boston University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He became a CPA and provided his community with dedicated and professional service for many years.
Dale met his future wife, Marcia Mayo, while they were both stationed in Hawaii while serving in the U. S. Air Force. They were married on August 14, 1953 and were married for 63 years at the time of Marcia’s death in 2016. They settled in Little Rock and created a loving family with the addition of their three
children.
Family was the center of Dale’s life along with his relationship with God and his service to his church and community. He enjoyed Baseball (loved the Red Sox and Cardinals), loved to fish and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to catch “the big one”, delighted in watching them reel them in. Dale loved spending time with his family whether it be on group camping trips, family activities or gatherings during the holidays – especially Christmas. He knew how to enjoy life to the fullest.
Dale was a dedicated servant to the Church, he delighted in serving God in every way possible and made that his life’s purpose. He was a loving, trustworthy and dependable man, especially with children. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Dale's presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia and sisters Shirley Jones and Annette Sturm. He is survived by sons David (Debbee) Tucker and Terry (Mitzie) Tucker; daughter, Rebecca (Susan) Tucker; grandchildren, Brian Tucker, Emi Tucker, Taylor Wagliardo, Nicholas Breeding and Katie Bebout; great grandchildren, Ethan, Lilliana, Harper, Quinn, Delaney, Knox and Estella; sisters Joan (Elvis) Carver and Letsey (Phil) Bruner and brother-in-law, Phil Sturm.
A funeral service celebrating Dale’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Windsong Church of Christ, #3 Windsong Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial immediately following at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dale’s honor may be made to the “Windsong Church of Christ Building Fund”, #3 Windsong Drive, Maumelle, AR 72113
