Christopher James Morris, 46, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. Chris, who was affectionately known as “Cat” or “El Loco Gato”, was born in Abilene, Texas to father Kenneth Morris and mother, Sharon Cook Childers. Chris moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas with his family where he graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1991.
After graduating, Chris enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country with distinction for 20 years, retiring in 2014 as a Petty Officer 1st Class. Chris earned numerous medals and citations during his service time.
Chris loved his family and spending time with his girls and his dogs. He LOVED Taco Tuesdays. Chris was a passionate player of “World of Warcraft”. He also loved fall in Arkansas and would take drives just to see the colors.
He will be lovingly celebrated and remembered by his wife, Linda Rosati Morris of Jacksonville; daughters Jessica Goodman (Brian) of Norfolk, VA, Melissa Morris of Miami, FL and McKenna Morris of Orlando, FL; His "Grandies" Andrew James Goodman, Julia Gail Goodman and Samuel Brian Goodman; mother and step-father, Sharon & Bob Childers of Alexander; father, Kenneth Morris of Jacksonville; brother Kevin Morris of Wallingford, CT; sister Andi Holeman (Kenneth) of Jacksonville and numerous aunts, nieces, great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27th at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Please share your memories of Chris with his family at www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
