Charlotte A. Stapp, aged 77, of Austin, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was born on September 29, 1942 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to her parents, Ray Ledbetter and Billie Garner Ledbetter. She graduated from Arkadelphia High School.
Charlotte married C. R. Stapp in 1960 and they remained together until C. R.'s death in 2013. Family was the most important thing in the world to her. Called “Granna” by her grandchildren, she loved to play with them. She also loved to travel, especially going on cruises. Going out to dinner was a favorite pastime as well as watching the older movies. Charlotte was active in the GIA, an auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and had many friends there.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Ledbetter and Billie Garner Ledbetter; husband, C. R. Stapp and great-grandson Beckett Hidalgo. Left to cherish her memory and her children, Kim Stapp Carnation of Austin, AR and Michael Ray Stapp, Sr. of Austin, AR; grandchildren Danielle Stapp Hidalgo (Brandon) of Cabot, Hannah Carnation of Austin and Michael R. Stapp, Jr. of Jacksonville and four great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Kindred Hospice and Rachel Blanchard for the wonderful care they provided to Charlotte.
A Visitation honoring Charlotte will be held on Friday, October 18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 pm in the Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Arkansas.
