Carolyn Sue Hiner, 77, of Jacksonville passed away May 10, 2024. She was born November 8, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Carolyn was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her mother, Lois Wilson; son, Roby Hiner; and sister, Eual Dean Criswell.
Known for her boundless generosity, Carolyn was a beacon of selflessness and kindness, always ready to offer the clothes off her back to those in need. She effortlessly assumed the role of everyone's grandmother, leaving a lasting impression even in brief encounters. Family held a special place in her heart, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn's unwavering faith in the Lord was evident through her daily prayers, and now she rests peacefully in His embrace.
Those left to cherish the memories of Carolyn include her daughter, Marla Hiner; grandchildren, Matthew Robert (Marianna), Anna Alesha, and Aaron James (Caitlin); great-grandchildren, Slade Mitchell, Jonathan James , Haylee Renee, Kylee Ann, Caleb Brody, and Jacob Alin; and brother, Billy (Darla) Wilson.
Memorial services celebrating Carolyn’s life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home.
