Ms. Betty J Tucker

Betty Jean Tucker, 94, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away on January 8, 2023. Betty was born on March 5, 1928 in Colona, Arkansas, the daughter of L.R. and Myrtle (Carter) Curbo. She married her late husband Melvin Tucker in 1946 and they shared 56+ years of marriage until his passing in 2003.

Betty was a member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ. She loved her Lord and her family, especially her children. She was a fierce Mama Bear and a wonderful wife, sister and friend. She enjoyed shopping, arranging flowers, and keeping a beautiful welcoming home.

Betty is survived by her children, son Johnny W. Tucker and his wife Teresa of Beebe, and daughter Karen Turner and her husband Glenn of Alexander, six grandchildren Michael Tucker, Angela Heil, Michelle Zwack, Glenna Turner, Tim Garner and Shannon Beaty, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, and very special niece Marilyn Harris that she loved like a daughter.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Debbie Jean Tucker Roberts in 2008, as well as her siblings, her brothers John Roger Curbo and Bobby Don Curbo, an infant sister Mildred Irene Curbo, and her sister Joyce Curbo Ramsey.

A visitation will be held on Thursday January 12, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with her son Johnny W. Tucker officiating. Private burial will follow in Rest Hills memorial Park.
