Benny Earl Woodward

Benny Earl Woodward, 74, of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 2, 1941 in Humphrey, Arkansas to parents Charles E. and Amber Woodward. Benny honorably served in the United States Marine Corps followed by 43 year career with NLR Electric as a lineman and supervisor.Benny was a member of Life Fellowship Church in Jacksonville. He was especially fond of bargain shopping, sports, cooking, gardening and woodworking but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Marvell Mashburn; brothers-in-law Bezell Mashburn and Benny Ship and his first wife, Charlsie Jean Woodward.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vickey Woodward, son Greg (Regina) Woodward; daughter Stacy (Brent) Bush; step-daughters Lana (David) Gregory and Kelly (Michael) Stout; sisters Martha (Eddie) Green, Sherry Shipp and Margaret (Al) Morgan; three granddaughters, eight step-grandchildren, one great-grandson and ten step-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2nd followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm , Wednesday, February 3rd in the chapel at Rest Hills Funeral Home with Rev.
