A time to be born and a time to die Willie A. Parrish, Jr. was born to the late Willie A. Parrish, Sr., and Annie Pearl Lockhart Parrish in Providence Hospital on October 14, 1955 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Willie attended Dillard High School graduating in 1973 and later attended Jones College receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and upon returning home he worked at Sears in Atlantic City, New Jersey and advanced to become a supervisor, he then relocated back to his hometown Fort Lauderdale to be closer to his family and to continue his career in retail. Willie later became a car salesman at Rick Case Chevrolet Dealership and at Electronic Technician at Bendix.
Willie loved sports and games exhibiting his competitive nature while participating in swimming and basketball. He took great pleasure in playing chess and dominos because it was engaging and allowed him opportunities for socializing with his family and friends. He was an avid musician; playing the piano at social gathering and singing in the choir at his church Christian Life Center. As an active church member He dedicated himself to God through his commitments and was a gentle soul always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. More importantly, he loved his family, but his mother was his heart.
Willie A. Parrish, Jr. was preceded in death by his father Willie A. Parrish, Sr. He leaves to cherish his many memories a loving mother Annie Pearl Parrish, sister Michelle Parrish- Green, brother Melvin Parrish and his wife Audrey, nieces Erika and Nicole Parrish and a host of family and friends.
