Sandra June Kravitz

On October 13, 2024, at the age of 92, Sandra June Kravitz of Delray Beach, Florida passed away surrounded by those who loved her. Loving wife of Philip Kravitz (D 2006) and mother to Jess (Virginia) Kravitz and Ellen Hanas, and adopted daughter of the heart Eris Filiberto. Grandmother to Jacob (Cristal) Kravitz, Jordan (Dominique) Kravitz, Alexa (Trevor) Curtis, and Eric (Veronica) Hanas and Great Grandmother to Charlotte, Jackson, Aubrey, and Caleb. Sandi grew up in Brooklyn New York. She met Phil in the garment district of New York and they were married on May 29, 1954, a marriage that stood the test of time until Phil's passing. She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Gertrude Strauss and her sister Muriel Schaffer. Sandi had positive influence on everyone serving on many boards and committees at her home at The Lakes of Delray and volunteering, helping those less fortunate and participating in community events in Delray including the many art shows and tennis matches which she loved. Further, Sandi loved spending time with her family and over the years since Phil's passing embarked with her adventurous spirit to enjoy many bucket list activities including hot air ballooning and swimming with the dolphins. Her quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor endeared her to everyone she met. Her lifetime of passion for reading, learning including learning how to swim in her 80’s is testimony to her spirt. She will be missed. A funeral will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 10:15am Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapel and interment at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens immediately following the service
