A Funeral Service for Paul will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2:45 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.starofdavidfuneralchapel.com for the Efron family.
Paul is survived by Sandra, wife of over thirty years, sister Tina, daughter Lisa and S.O. Todd, son Sam and wife Heather and grandsons Joey and Logan. Paul adored his children and was so proud of them.
Paul was larger than life, an unforgettable force of nature. A one of a kind, a leader, a legend, a hero, a helper, a pain in the butt, a savior, a comic, a wheeler and dealer, and a disaster, too. You have to use big words when you talk about Paul, because he was big, he was extra. In spirit, in emotion, in good looks, in charisma, in energy, in stories, in voice. He was big.
The suffering of drug and alcohol addiction was what brought him to the greatest despair, and then to his greatest purpose: to help others. Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous saved his life. With the support of cherished mentors and friends in the program, Paul was clean and sober for 42 years. He was unstoppable in his efforts to help others, left no stone unturned and touched a lot of lives. Paul distinguished himself as a compelling speaker and well-loved mentor in the 12 step community of south Florida. May his legacy live on.
