Enid Joyce Mansdorf (75) of Vero Beach, FL, passed away September 18, 2024. Enid is a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Enid was born to Mac and Naomi Karlan in New York on April 4, 1949 and grew up in the Bronx. Enid graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and dedicated most of her life to teaching elementary school in North Miami. In the early 1970’s Enid had two children Scott W. Sperling and Erika A. Hippler (Sperling). Both children were members of the Armed Forces and raised with the motto “Service before self.” Scott W. Sperling, the oldest child, was deceased on October 26, 2014 and buried in Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Enid was married to Michael V. Mansdorf on October 20, 1984. Throughout their beautiful life together they enjoyed boating and shared a passion for real estate. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading a good book, gardening, cooking and looking at daily pictures of her grandchildren. You could often find her on her lanai with a hardback book, sipping a glass of wine, talking to her daughter on the phone.
Enid is survived by her dedicated husband of 40 years, Michael Mansdorf, her loving daughter Erika Hippler and her husband Ronald Hippler, her adored grandchildren, Cameron Hippler, Brady Hippler, Maddison Sperling, Ava Sperling and Mikhail Delinois and the newest addition, her adorable great grandson Miles Hippler. Family gave Enid the most joy. She will be greatly missed and always loved.
A celebration of life for Enid will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068.
