

Andrew was born March 12, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York to Allan and Sharon Goldberg. He attended Johns Hopkins University, acquiring a fencing record that led to his induction into the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame, and Downstate Medical Center, where he attained his MD.
Following a courtship that began with a meeting in the Vatican in 1990, Andy married the love of his life, Michelle A. Goldberg (nee Bell) on September 12, 1993. Together they have three children. In his professional career, Andy worked as an anesthesiologist, ran his own practice as a pain management interventional physician, and served as Chief of Surgery at Northwest Medical Center. His post-graduate training included a residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and a pain management fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Andy was also a certified spin instructor, passionate about photography and mini-triathlons, and a lego enthusiast.
Predeceased by his father Allan Goldberg and sister-in-law Judy Goldberg, Andy is survived by his wife, Michelle A. Goldberg of Parkland, Florida; children, Ryan S. Goldberg of Toronto, Canada, Carlee M. Goldberg of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Haley J. Goldberg of Charlotte, North Carolina; mother Sharon Goldberg; and in-laws Pearl and Larry Bell; brother Mitchell Goldberg; niece Jessie Goldberg; nephews Jordan and Brandon Goldberg; sister-in-law Sari Grossinger and husband Howie; niece Jordanna Grossinger; nephew Cole Grossinger and his wife Lexie; nephew Zane Grossinger.
A funeral service to honor Andy’s life will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2:45 PM at Star of David Memorial Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Shiva will be held following the service at their home. Details to follow.
