September 8, 2019 in Sylmar, California. She was born to Francisco Avila and Juana Chavez. In
her early childhood years, she made the move from Arizona to Merced Falls. In 1950, she started
her job as a Presser at the cleaners. However she took on the blessing of being a Mother with her
first child, Yolanda, in 1957. Along with the first child, she gave birth to 6 more children,
(Sergio, Olga, Nancy, David, Linda, and Sonia). Virginia was known for her spicy chile that
would leave your mouth burning and your eyes watering. She enjoyed being together with her
family, watching the Dodgers play, and eating her favorite, Chile con Carne. In her last years she
would never go a day without having a diet coke and a Snickers. She was deeply loved by
everyone around her and she will be greatly missed.
