Magued Ibrahim Wassef

Magued Ibrahim Wassef born on Saturday August 10th, 1963 in Cairo, Egypt to Ibrahim Khalil Wassef and Mary Kamel Zaki Wassef. Magued received his education from Kindergarten to High School at College de la Salle, in Daher, Cairo from 1967-1981; graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Multi National Corporations from The School of Commerce Cairo University. Magued also obtained a GE Certificate from The University of London and a Diploma in Commercial French from The French Embassy in Cairo.

Magued worked in the Field of office management in a small clothing designing office after graduating with a Bachelors. Magued completed his military service in the military police branch of The Egyptian Armed Forces, to officially enable him to immigrate to the USA in 1992. In the USA Magued worked in the field of security in the capacity of field supervisor and then in the capacity of security manager in a privately owned security company. Magued then switched careers in 2002 and worked in the Funeral industry until falling ill in July of 2021.

Magued forewent chemo therapy and endured a surgery in December of 2021 to eradicate the cancer. Magued went through several complications throughout 2022 and finally had a reoccurring event where he was notified that the cancer had returned at Stage 4 with a terminal condition.

Magued was married to Sahar Laban Gendy from December 2003 until December 2020, they share 2 children Andrew Michael Wassef born on February 15, 2006 and Justina Sarah Wassef born on November 24, 2008, Survived by The mother of his children Sahar Laban Gendy, his Brother Nabil Ibrahim Wassef and his Nephew Edward Peter Wassef. Magued has an extended family in the USA, the UK, Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Egypt as well as Australia and South Africa.

Magued cherished a very tight, intimate friendship with school friends and church friends both in Egypt and in the USA.

A funeral service for Magued will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church, 16643 Vanowen St, Van Nuys, CA 91406. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
