Jesse Ellis Fox was born August 3, 1938 to David J. and Ruth O’Connor Fox in Los Angeles. He joined the Navy at 17 and served for 4 years traveling the world. He considered joining the Merchant Marines when he met Ana Pleitez. They were soon married and Jesse changed careers and became a plumber, working for his father for many years. His customers would often ask for him specifically. Jess continued to serve in the Navy Reserve and retired after 39 years. He loved to serve his community in many ways but he gave his heart to the Optimist Youth Home in Los Angeles. He spent many years serving on the Board of Directors until his health intervened. Jesse continued to serve as a member in many clubs and through Optimist events. Jesse was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed his associations and service there over the years.
Jesse is survived by his wife Ana, his four children Cynthia Reed (Mike), Mindy, Devorah Brown (Howard), and David (Halina), his sister Susan Fauver and brother David Fox Jr, and 5 grandchildren Amanda Santa Cruz, Leonora Santa Cruz, Alex Krolicki, Michelle Krolicki, and Adam Fox. His brother Charles preceded him in death.
