Jim passed away in Eufaula, Alabama on
Nov. 18, 2012 with his wife by his side.
Jim lived in Burbank for most of his life.
He attended McKinley Elementary, Jordan Jr. High and Burbank
High School. He was active in Burbank politics and served
on the Burbank Airport Commission. As a young man Jim
was employed by Borrmann Steel Co. He later opened
his own company, American Metal Marketing. He retired to
Alabama in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Eufaula, Alabama;
daughter Carol Hopkins of North Hollywood, Calif; his son,
Robert Gordon of Oceano, Calif.; brother, Jerry Gordon of Aqua
Dulce, Calif.; two sisters, Tina James (Virgil) of Burbank, Calif.;
Jaydean Dyer of Newbury Park, Calif.; nine grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, five nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Lee Gordon
and grandson, Brian Jordan.
