It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hola T. Sweis, age 90, of Bakersfield, California, on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Hola was born in Jordan to Michael Sweis and Julia Sweis, both of whom preceded her in death.
Hola is survived by her children: her daughters Hanan Helo and Jihan Sweis; and her sons Sultan Sweis and Marwan Sweis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thiyab Sweis, with whom she shared many cherished years.
A funeral service in her honor will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Saint Anne Melkite Greek Catholic Cathedral, located at 11211 Moorpark St, Los Angeles, CA 91602. Following the service, a graveside service will take place from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park and Mortuary, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
Hola’s memory will be forever treasured by her family and all who knew her. May she rest in peace, and may her legacy of love and devotion live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
