From Sylmar CA passed after battling Leukemia.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Tellez and two granddaughters Alexis and Olivia Tellez
Her Brother and Sister in law Danny and Elena Garcia
Many nieces and two nephews
Her diagnosis shocked her family but she faced her treatment with courage and positivity. She spent her days in the hospital making her nurses and doctors laugh, always keeping them on their toes. To have know her is to have loved her. She touched and made lasting impressions on most everyone she met.
Dee Dee built her career from an assembly line to a senior buyer position. She was not the kind to take handouts from anyone and one of her biggest strengths was her work ethic.
She was the matriarch of her family, consisting mostly of girls. She lead with a fun and sometimes stern hand. She was especially close to her late father, taking trips to Vegas and Laughlin; the best of gambling buddies. She was the best mom always putting her daughter's needs before hers, the type of mom who is your best friend. She wasn't a boring grandma but was a cool Nana. When her sister passed 14 years ago she became a mother figure to her nieces. She was the type of parent and aunt your could tell anything to and always had an open door.
She was a fierce friend. Enjoying a many of camping trips and building a bond with her friends that would rival even the closest sisters.
The loss of Dee Dee is immeasurable but so is the love left behind.
