My dear sweet Aunt Donnie...Susan, Mike and Jeff I am so so sorry for the loss of your Mother and our Aunt...I so know your pain...Losing my Mom (Aunt Jo) June 8, 2012..

I had talked with your Mom not to long ago and we had a wonderful visit..She and your Dad (Uncle Bernie) were my favorites...I wish we all had lived closer all the years miles had left a big gap...We are sorry we are not able to come and be with all of you and celebrate the life Aunt Donnie lived and gave...All of us are thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time...The last time I talked to your Mom, she shared with me she was ready to go and be with the Lord, your Dad and many loved one's...Now it has been granted to her..What a joyous time all of them are having...We will all be with them again someday..The Lord strengthen you and may He give you an abundance of His grace to heal your broken hearts...Our thoughts and prayers are with you..

For over 25 years I enjoyed visiting with Donnie at church and gradually enjoyed dinners and home movies with her.  We talked about her growing up in Oklahoma and how Bernie would pull her in a wagon when they were very young, and we talked about her moving to California and working in a store on Hollywood Boulevard.  I just spoke with her on the phone about a month ago, and she said to me, "You know, Roy, I'm ready to go anytime."

I will surely miss Dear Donnie.
