Amalia Lopez Ortega

She was born o n July 10, 1952 in El Salto, Durango, Mexico to Maria de Los Angeles Zepeda and Hilario Ortega. She was 1 of 14 children of which 7 survived. Her siblings Ninfa, Delia, Hortencia, Jose Luis, Adan, and Lucila. On 02/25/74 she married Rafael Lopez in her hometown of El Salto. Together they built a family with 6 children. Angelica Maria(Jose M.)Villa, Juan Rafael Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Lorena Amalia Lopez, Jacqueline (Isael)Gutierrez, and Jesus Lopez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilario and Angelita, and her son Jesus Lopez+.

She is survived by her husband, Rafael, her children; Angelica, Juan, Ruben, Lorena, Jacqueline. 10 grandchildren; Jessee, Adrian, Vivian, Nathan, Melanie, Jacob, Alexa, Giselle, Marianna, and Elianna; her siblings; Ninfa, Delia, Hortencia, Jose Luis, Adan, Lucila, and numerous nieces and nephews and god children.

A visitation for Amalia will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Poverello Retreat Home, 1519 Woodworth St., San Fernando, CA 91340. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church, 12930 Hamlin St., Valley Glen, CA 91606. A graveside service will occur Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
