I am completely obliterated and heartbroken to learn of Aaron's passing this late. I am a terrible friend for not keeping up with him, and I've been thinking of finding him again, but this was the last thing that I expected to find. I am deeply sorry for his friends and family. 

I met him years ago as friends, and loved him as a human being. I was sad to see him leave for Seattle,  but I knew he was pursuing a path he willingly chose. Aaron was not without fears, but he had endless courage to face those fears and the moments that I had with him, I will forever cherish. Most of all, his ability to make me feel interesting and better than I actually was. Or was it that he saw something in me that I didn't? Either way, Aaron paved the way for me to face my own fears as I learned to love myself, because if he could love the mess that I was, then nothing could stop me. 

While our time was brief, his kindness and gentle spirit have impacted me for the rest of my life. May you rest in peace, you beautiful person.  I will surely miss you with all of my heart.

Yvonne, Scott, Natalie and Jon Asher, I wish there was something I could do or say to ease what you all feel right now. It makes me smile through all this grief to look back and remember the fun times we had growing up. Swim team,  our trip to the Riverwalk, Schlitterbahn, singing/screaming at the top of our lungs in the car to the same song over and over again.  Aaron will forever hold such a special place in my heart. I love you all so much and will continue to pray for healing and peace. 

Aaron was one of my best friends for many years and I still cannot believe that he is really gone. I wish that we could have had more time together to make more memories. I will never forget you and I love you. Thank you for always being there for me.

There are never the right words to express to this beautiful family when you lose a loved one , especially a child of your own.
