Wayne Frank Peterson

Wayne was born in 1931 in International Falls, MN. After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, he returned home where he met and married Marlene, his wife of 63 years. Wayne worked in clothing sales before establishing a career with State Farm Insurance in Grand Forks, ND. After retiring, he enjoyed summers at Crosslake, MN and winters in Florida, eventually becoming a full-time resident of Estero.

Wayne loved travel, RV’ing, skiing, fishing and spending time in the Montana Mountains.

Wayne’s love for his wife, family, fun-loving demeanor, and willingness to devote time to those less fortunate, will never be forgotten. Family and friends will always carry his memory with them.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Marlene; sons Mark (Paula) Peterson, Scott (Shelley) Peterson, Brian (Yumi) Peterson; brother, Ronald Peterson, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No service is planned. A celebration of life was attended by close family at the time of his passing
