Steve Horn

Steven D. Horn was born in Charleston, Illinois on January 3rd 1950. He was the son of Everett and Peggy Horn and the grandson of Harold and Gertrude Horn and Arnold and Helen Smith, who all preceded him in death.

Steve was married to Susy Tinder Horn and they would have celebrated 25 years of marriage together in December. Steve and Susy have five children and five grandchildren. The children include Andy Horn and Cory Martin from Fort Collins, Colorado and Tyler Horn, Eric Miller and Jessica Hallett from Charleston, Illinois.

Upon graduation from high school, Steve served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, where he drove heavy equipment. After leaving the Army, he returned to Charleston to work on the family farm with his brother, Jeff Horn. Steve also owned S. Horn Trucking Inc. for 35 years. When he retired, Steve and Susy moved to Fort Myers Beach, where they enjoyed 10 years of paradise together.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Charleston Moose Lodge on Saturday November 3rd from 2-5 pm to celebrate Steve.
