Ann Marie Waldon Case passed away on May 25, 2018 in North Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 89. Annie was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1929 and graduated from Central High School and the University of North Dakota in 1951 with degrees in Speech, Theatre Arts/Education, and French , and again in 1962 with a B.S. in Nursing. She held positions at the Grand Forks Air Force Base Hospital and at Deaconess Hospital prior to joining the University of North Dakota, School of Nursing, teaching Medical Surgical Nursing. Later she joined the Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital and earned the first license awarded in North Dakota as an accredited Nurse Clinician.
In 1987 Annie married Lt Col. Robert O. Case, (Retired), and moved to Fort Myers. Her husband preceded her in death, as did her parents Borghild “Borgie” Balch, Theadore Waldon, and Step-Father Durwood Balch; sister Judy Hall and brother Theadore “Chip”. Waldon.
She is survived by three children from her first marriage to Richard K. Brusegaard; John (Amy), Plymouth MN; Craig (Lori), Estes Park, CO; Nancy (Richard) Johnson, Los Angeles, CA; Grandchildren Shayna Anderson, Hugo MN, and Callie Brusegaard, Pomfret, Vermont; Great-Grandson Jacob Anderson.
Annie was an avid reader and golfer who was especially proud of her 2 holes in one! She will be missed by the friends and family she leaves behind.
