

Wylie was a devoted husband, father, and affectionally known as "Pappa" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wylie adored and cherished his beautiful family and instilled the importance of "family" in his daughters' upbringing. Prior to life changing medical diagnoses, Wylie was the heartbeat of the community. His charismatic and selfless attitude made him beloved by all. Wylie's generosity and love for his community has left a lasting impression and impact on all that has crossed paths with. In 2010, Wylie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at My Father's House, parishioned by Pastor Grady Hendrix.
Wylie was preceded in death by his late wife Janice Johnson of fifty-two (52) years, his parents, Raymond and Mattie Mae; brothers, William Ray, Johnny Franklin and Raymond (Fat); two sisters Marie Gray and Sue Tyndall as well as one great grandson Carson Lacy.
Survivors include Donna Owen (Terry) and Sheila Williams (Andre), grandchildren Taylor Lacy (Bobby), Kyle Johnson, Jordan Jordan (Dakota), Bailey Owen, Alexis Williams, and Dominique Williams (Kelsey). He leaves behind a brother, Henry Johnson and sister Yvonne Stafford as well as eleven (11) great grandchildren.
Wylie's last wish was to have a private intimate viewing with immediate family followed by a cremation.
