Robert (Bob) Steinhoff, 82, of Summerville, SC, passed away on January 30, 2019. Bob was born in Jamestown, New York, a son of the late Clyde Steinhoff and Laura Gleason. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Steinhoff, who went to be with the Lord in May of 2002.
Bob had a love for life that was felt by all who met him and a gracious and giving spirit that will be remembered always by his family and friends. He never met an animal he did not love. Out in nature and surrounded by wildlife is where he felt most at home.
Bob is survived by his children Chip (Sue) Schampier of Cumming, Georgia, Joel Steinhoff of Schenectady, New York, and Laurieann (Kevin) Dickson of Summerville, South Carolina, his brother Bill Steinhoff of Jamestown, New York, and his grandchildren Nicole (Cristian) Martinez, Ashley Schampier, Elizabeth Steinhoff, Alexander Steinhoff, Brandon Dickson, and Amber Dickson.
Funeral services will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The viewing will be from 12-3pm with a service to follow from 3-4pm.
