Rita was born in St. Albans Vermont, was baptized at Holy Angels Catholic Church and attended Holy Angels Catholic School. She was a devoted wife and mother. During life as a Navy wife she kept the home safe and secure during many long months of sea duty. She loved to entertain guests and many fine meals were served in her home. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she was a gifted seamstress, making everything from wedding gowns to draperies, often from her own patterns. She did alterations for countless numbers of friends, neighbors and family members. She also liked to crochet, and every family member can proudly display one of her beautiful afghans.
