Our deepest and most sincere condolences on Ray’s homegoing. I worked with him in the Charleston County School District when he was employed there and when he became a board member.  He was a nice person who always had a smile and a kind word for me.  He purchased fruit every year for his family when our daughter was selling it as a fundraiser for the Burke High  School Band and even for several years after she had graduated.  He said he wanted to support the students.  I know you loved him and will miss him, but God loved him best.

Ray was a much loved friend to Roger and I.  With him and Roger both retiring from the USNavy, they shared many stories and memories.  Ray was a fellow director with me on the Board of Atalaya Towers, and our times with Ray and Barbara will be cherished memories.

There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Ray, who earned his 'fish' when he qualified in submarines, will always be remembered as a “Brother of the Phin” and a great Patriot. I was very sorry to learn of Ray’s death.  I remember him for his gentle but strong presence.   He gave many years of service to CCSD as an employee and as a Board member.  Much love to all his family and, especially to Barbara.  

I loved Ray like a brother.  He was always smiling, positive, and fun to be around, especially fishing with that artificial cricket.  I will miss him very much but rejoice that he is going home.  Death is a celebration of life.  Well done by a good and faithful man.  Thanks for the memories and peace for the families.

Ray was a kind hearted sole who loved to search family history.
I tried to help out with this and sent him a picture of his grandmother who we never met because she had died at a young age. He had many fond memories of his uncle Joe my father and we shared memories together on our last visit. I only wish the pandemic had not happened because we could have more visits and maybe a family reunion. Barbara our hearts are with you and if you need something just call Francine and Joe and we will try to ease your pain.
Raymond is with his family in the next world and he will live in our hearts forever.  He will be missed in our time until we meet up with him and the rest of the Joyner’s in the hereafter
