Rachel Holman

She was born July 11, 1954. She was a lifelong resident and 1972 graduate of Hanahan where she played Clarinet and was 2nd Majorette in the marching band. She was a long time member of the Remount Baptist Church. Rachel was the daughter of Julius Major Martin, Sr. and Auria (Minyard) Martin of Waycross, Ga.

She is predeceased by both her parents and her brother, Charles David Martin of Hanahan.

Rachel is survived by her husband Harry William Holman of 41 years; son, William Gregory McGrath of Hanahan; her brothers, Julius Major Martin, Jr. (Karen) of Columbia, SC, Tony Marvin Martin and Fred Lee Martin of Hanahan; 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Also, two stepsons; Harry William Holman II, of Summerville and Christopher Mitchell Holman of Goose Creek, SC.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The Celebration of Life Service will in the Chapel from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
