Paul Everett Grant

Paul E. Grant, 71 of North Charleston, SC passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:30 AM. Preceded by his wife Charlotte J. Grant, Parents Berman and Jewel Grant of Bolivar, MO and sister Linda Struemph of Jefferson, MO. Survived by his first wife, Janice McWhorter. Paul was born in Jefferson, MO on March 25, 1945. Paul leaves behind four children: Peggy and (Johnny) Ames, Laura Grant, Paul Grant and Erik Andrys. Paul was blessed with 6 grandchildren and with 5 great grandchildren. Brother of Joyce and (Jim) Smith, Judy and (Jr.) Henry and David and (Linda) Grant. Paul was an E5 Staff Sargent of the US Air Force from 1963-1975 as a Weather Equipment Technician. Paul worked many years with Resource Consultants Inc. as an A Tech Electrician and traveled the world doing various Government contracts. Paul was a devoted Christian and member of Charleston Baptist Church. He was active with the Bread of Life program. He assisted Park Circle Senior Center. He enjoyed helping others, fishing, baking, and dancing. Paul was a member of Belles & Beaus and Mid Mornings Twirlers which is where he danced with friends via Square dancing and Shag dancing. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is best remembered and admired for his witty sense of humor, his yummy deserts, and his love and devotion to his family and friends. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home in North Charleston, SC. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Charleston Baptist Church in West Ashley, SC with the graveside service following at Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston. SC. with Military Honors.
