Ms. Patsy Fields

Patsy worked at the Base Exchange while her husband Darrel was serving in the military. After her husband retired, they worked many jobs together, including home repair, maintenance and caregiving. In addition, Patsy worked several years at La Petite Daycare Academy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Gene Fields; parents, Richard Clyde Owens & Callie Gertrude Owens; siblings, James Owens, L.C. Owens, Dora Alice Thorp, Gloria Dean Geary, and Sadie Simpson.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Jack & Wyona Owens; two children and their spouses, Clyde & Carolyn Fields, Connie & Michael Lowe; three Grandchildren & their spouses, Erica & Edward Briggs, Brandon & Simone Hill, and Jonathan Fields; as well as five great-grandchildren, Colbey Briggs, Peyton Briggs, Gabriel Hill, Jacob Hill, and Anthony Jerrell.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Golden Isles & Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home chapel for Patsy on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM with the burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens is located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
