Nelda is survived by her daughter Aimee Steiner (Tony Steiner); her son Reuben Daniels (Christina Cumbee); her grandchildren Kaylee Spires, Austin Steiner, Jackson Steiner (Jessica Weeks), Makenna King, Kayla Fanetti and Charlie Fanetti; her sisters Alexis Smith (Mike Smith); Midge Walters (Bruce Walters); and her nieces Kim Elliott, and Tracy Polutta and her nephews Grant Bagwell, Wayne Walters, Christopher Smith and Joseph Brigman Jr.
Nelda is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Daniels, and parents Paul A Geiger and Mildred Audrey Byrd Geiger; and her brother Paul A. Geiger Jr.
In 1967, Nelda completed her education at Gordon H Garrett High School in Charleston, South Carolina. Following her high school years, she attended University of South Carolina for a duration of two years. Subsequently, while employed at Cummings Diesel, she met and fell in love with Thomas Daniels who became the love of her life. Their romance turn in 47 years of marriage where Nelda dedicated her life to her family, friends and her community on a daily bases, everyone always felt her love. Eventually, she also embraced the role of a grandmother.
Since November 1975, she has been affiliated with the Xi Alpha Omega Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She derived pleasure from engaging in bonko games and forming valuable relationships and unforgettable experiences with every acquaintance.
She played the role of the most enthusiastic supporter for her family, a role that anyone would have desired. She loved being outside watching hummingbirds and planting in her garden.
She had a great affection for her family and friends, prioritizing spending valuable time with them. She found pleasure in embarking on trips and exploring new places alongside them.

A Visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home for Nelda on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The entombment will follow thereafter at the Mausoleums of Carolina Memorial Park.
