Mary Lou Owens

The relatives and friends of Mary Lou Owens are invited to attend a service to celebrate her life on Sunday August 21, 2022 with a visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and a funeral service to follow at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Mary was born December 22, 1934 in Waycross, GA and was the second youngest of seven children born to Ross and Dessi Cleveland. Mary had three brothers Woody, Ross, and Alvin; three sisters Lorena, Evelyn, and Ollie; three sons Roger Dale, William Jr., and Gary Alvin; one daughter Vanessa Jo; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mary was devoted to her husband William for over 60 years, and was content to be a loving and doting mother to her children. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to dance.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband William; sons Roger Dale and Gary Alvin; brothers Woody, Ross, and Alvin; and sisters Lorena and Evelyn.
