Mark David Williams was born on June 1, 1961, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Lutha Mae Collins and Sinclair David Williams. He spent his childhood and adolescent years between Connecticut and South Carolina, where he enrolled in the public school systems. In 1979 he graduated from Harleyville-Ridgeville High School. Shortly afterward he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army.
Mark was a man with many great attributes; A man that said what was in his heart and on his mind. Mark had a heart of gold, great humor and always had a good joke ready to tell. He loved gardening and cooking using his own fresh ingredients and sharing his dishes with family and friends who were always eager for more. When Mark wasn’t off traveling the world some of his favorite pastimes were watching Judge Judy and Judge Mathis along with fishing.
On Saturday February 18, 2023 Mark transitioned from this life.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother Craig Williams Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Lakoiya Williams of Nashville, TN and Nicole Williams of West Haven, CT; Eight grandchildren, One great-grandchild, Two sisters Ethel Williams and Pamela Plowden (Lloyd) of Ladson, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and devoted neighbors. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday March 4, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Service of Celebration will follow at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Carolina Memorial.
