

Louise F. Phillips, a longtime resident of the Charleston area, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, the 16 of September, at Trident Medical Center. Born in 1930 in Boston, MA, to George L. Farish and Margie Farish, she is survived by her children, William Fletcher (Essie), Donna Green (Lloyd), Malcolm G. Phillips (Sandra), Wanda L. Smith; a sister, Nancy Lott; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Lee Phillips, and son, Russell M. Smith, plus four brothers Johnny, George Jr, Charles and James known as Jimmy Farish. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter-in-law, Maureen C. Fletcher. Momma enjoyed her frog collection, flowers and visiting with family and friends. “Weggy” never met a stranger and made friends easily. The family will receive friends in visitation the evening of Monday, September 19th 2016, from 6-8pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 11:00am in the chapel of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
