Kenneth Ray Story

Kenneth R Story of Horry County (formerly of North Charleston) went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on April 23rd. Kenneth, also known as Kenny, was surrounded by his family as he fought the good fight.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father Ray T. Story, mother Sarah E Story, and brother Timothy (Tim) S Story.

Kenny survived by two sisters Debra (Mike Schultz) and Carol (Andy) Lewis, whom he lived with. He is also survived by his daughters Mary Story and Wendy (Greg) Dearden. His sons Benjamin Story, Jason Story and Thurston Story. Kenny had 9 grandchildren that he dearly loved - Taylor (Chi) Williams, Haylee Pryor, Jonathon Teal, Cathryn (Kenny) Hart, Amanda Dearden, Bryson (Savannah) Dearden, Brianna Murray, Alexis Story, and Caleb Story-and 11 great grandchildren.

Kenny was a member of Myrtle Beach Christian Church and loved the Lord dearly. He was a mechanic and handyman by trade who loved tinkling with anything he could take apart and put back together. His passion for mechanical things was only matched by his love for dogs. His only worldly desire was to spend time with his family.

Kenny will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens of North Charleston on Saturday, April 29th at 3 pm. The will a Celebration of Life prior to the burial from 2:00 – 3:00 PM in the Chapel. All are welcome to attend. In Lieu of flower, please make a donation to Myrtle Beach Christian Church in his name.
