Judy Z Morris

She grew up in El Salvador until the age of five. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Mary Owings in Mattoon, Illinois. She attended Eastern Illinois University where she received a Bachelor of Science major in English and Spanish in 1969.

She married the love of her life, Robert Dale Morris II March 24, 1975 and they lived a wonderful life together until his passing in June of 1991. She lived most of her adult life in Charleston and spent the last 1 ½ years of her life living with her daughter, Mary.

She leaves behind her younger brother, Armando Jerry Zelada, three children, Mary Morris, Robert Morris III, and Alex Morris and four grandchildren, Montez Smoak, Robert Morris IV, Melinda Morris, and Julian Morris. She also leaves behind a host of friends that became just like family over the years and for that we are forever grateful!

We invite you to celebrate her life with us from 11:00AM-12:00PM Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29406, followed by a burial next to her late husband at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
