Joanne Wallace Rentz

Joanne Wallace Rentz,73, of Charleston, wife of Jacob A. “Jake” Rentz Sr., entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family, May 26, 2016. The relatives and friends of Joanne Rentz are invited to attend her funeral services at 11 AM at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Rd. Charleston, SC 29407 (843)766-7118, burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior at the church. Joanne was born in Charleston, SC, the daughter of the late William R. Wallace and Missouri Perry. Joanne worked as a sales associate for Belk. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She also loved to go "junkin", playing crosswords puzzles and enjoyed cooking and baking. Joanne was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars #3142. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jake Rentz, Sr, she is also survived by her children: Jacob A. "Aaron" Rentz, Jr., Lisa M. Towne, James "Jimmy" F. Towne, Jarrett O. Rentz, Wm. Robert Towne, Jennifer "Jenny" A. Rentz, Perry M. Rentz and Samuel "Sam" L. Rentz.15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters: Kate Holland, Vernelle Nichols and Sandra Holley. Predeceased in death by her brother, W. R.
