Jimmy Lee Johnson

Jimmy Johnson went to be with our Father, Monday February 5, 2018. He was born June 1, 1963 and was the son of Delores and Elijah Johnson. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, honey buns, and going out to eat. He regularly attended services at Ashley Heights Church of Christ where he enjoyed singing hymns and praying. He was very proud of his "new" ring and "new" watch, which he showed off to everyone along with his attire. He was a very "rich" man, where everything in his world cost five cents. You never knew what he would say when you would ask to borrow money, most of the time he would respond with, "No, I broke". Jimmy has always been a big ladies man, he had many "girlfriends" that he would wink at and blow kisses. His favorite girlfriend was his niece "Eminy"

For the last seven years Jimmy has been a resident at the Coastal Center of Ladson in Unit 520. The family would like to thank the entire staff, especially Ms. Dailey.

Jimmy was always asking, "Where's daddy?" When we would tell him, "Daddy's in heaven." Jimmy would respond, "I call him." YaYa would respond, "God doesn't have a phone." He would promptly reply, "Get Him one, Walmart".

Jimmy is survived by, his mother, Delores Johnson, his sister, Laura Adkins (Randy) of Summerville, his niece, Emily Wright (Mathew) of Charleston.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Elijah "Johnny" Johnson and his sister Elke Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 3 PM, funeral service will immediately follow. 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston, SC 29406, 843-797-2222. Online condolences can be made at www.carolinamemorial.com.
