Jimmie Loretta (Franklin) Benton

Jimmie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Perry L. "Bunny" Benton; son John Perry Benton (Katrina) of Goose Creek, SC; daughters Leigh Anne Hardwick (Wendell) and Lynn Foster (Thomas) both of Bluffton, SC; sister Sharyn D. Franklin of North Augusta, SC; grandchildren Jonathon, Ashleigh, Walker, Lillian, Samantha, Alexandria, and Jackson.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents John Pershing and Lillian (Gault) Franklin; brother Larry Frank Franklin; and sisters Sue Carolyn Franklin and Janice Louisa Ward.

Jimmie was a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church, a graduate of North Charleston High School, an avid sports fan, and a longtime volunteer with athletics at North Charleston High School and The Citadel. She and Bunny were outdoor enthusiasts that enjoyed fishing and camping.

A visitation will be held for Jimmie at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 5:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00am. 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
